We did not even try the 'steak' place because of the poor reviews from friends. The 'mexican' restaurant was 'a hour or more' wait and the 'buffet' restaurant was way overpriced and also had a long line out the door. 'Sorry, we are not taking any more diners because we are reserved for the rest of the night'.

After fighting through the mass of people all the while suffering through a fog of cigarette smoke, we finally got to the 'Italian' restaurant.

It was like a scene from the Walking Dead trying to weave through the casino while avoiding the gambling zombies. I have never seen so many out of shape and grossly obese people who could barely waddle, obese people using fatticap carts, and social security geriatrics using walkers in one place. If you're not into gambling, there is nothing to do other than walk through the casino which is an ordeal (ordeal meaning Bantaan death march, lite version). The valet parking had a long line and wait so, even though it was 90+ degrees we parked out in the parking lot and walked in. We arrived two hours early which was a mistake because it turned out to be a long wait for the show. Our first time to WinStar Global Event Center. I had previously seen Alison Krauss and Union Station at Verizon Theatre (at Grand Prairie) which was a wonderful concert at a great venue. We watched the entire performance on the big screen TV while the romeo next to us plied his date with drink after drink, he walked in front of us 6 times during a 2 hour show. I could hardly see the 'puppets' he uses. Dunham appeared to me to be about 3ft tall. In the 'back' people who were fans of Dunham's remarkable talents were relegated to catching details on a big screen TV as the details on the stage weren't easily seen. We bought seats for $75 each which were in Section D I believe.doesn't matter, we'll just call it the 'back'. We hadn't learned about the show until tickets were almost sold out. We get into the venue, which is larger than expected. The venue itself required navigating through a maze of machines (predictable) but with the added bonus of VERY NARROW isles and people who were seemingly so transfixed on the machines gobbling their money that they had little to no care about the hordes trying to make it through (NOT a beautiful snapshot of humanity, I assure you).

Reminded me of leaving a football stadium after a big game. Ok, the access from the freeway was easy, but then easy ended. NEVER BEEN BEFORE (admittedly not gamblers, we were there for the show, dropped $3 total).
